Flood Risk Modeller Job Description

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a skilled Flood Risk Modeller to join an established team of engineers in the UK.

This role offers the opportunity to work on varied flood risk, drainage, and modelling projects for Local Authorities, House Builders, Contractors, and Private Sector Clients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline, including a BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering or Hydrology, and experience working for a UK-based Consultancy or Local Authority completing Flood Risk Assessments and Hydraulic Modelling using Flood Modeller or Tuflow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Flood risk assessments for flood zones 1, 2, and 3
  • Surface water management plans
  • Surface water and foul drainage strategies
  • Pollution prevention
  • Hydraulic Modelling using Flood Modeller and Tuflow
  • Project management
  • Mentoring
  • Client meetings to discuss project development
