About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Flood Risk Consultant to join our Water and Environment North team at Waterman Aspen. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on flood risk management and hydraulic design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement flood risk management strategies for our clients
  • Conduct hydraulic modeling and analysis to inform flood risk assessments
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand their flood risk management needs
  • Provide technical guidance and support to clients on flood risk legislation and planning standards
  • Develop business cases for flood risk management schemes and secure funding
  • Work with public sector clients, such as Local Authorities and the Environment Agency
  • Conduct planning applications and provide expertise on Local Authority duties
  • Build relationships with clients and stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes
Requirements
  • Relevant degree qualification in Civil Engineering, Geography, or equivalent
  • Chartered Member or working towards chartered membership of a professional institution
  • Technical experience in UK flood risk legislation and planning standards
  • Experience in hydraulic modeling and analysis
  • Knowledge of project management principles and practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
