£29,000 - £36,000 per annum | AM shift, Freezer | 30-35 days' holiday (pro rata) | 10% in-store discount | Ongoing training

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Shift Leader to join our team at Lidl in Deutschland. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of warehouse operatives and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of warehouse operatives, providing coaching, training and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving and processing stock, managing inventory levels and ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Work closely with other Shift Leaders and department managers to ensure that all warehouse operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Support the Department Manager with personnel management, including recruitment, training and performance management.
  • Proactively identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Perform general warehouse operative duties as required, including moving stock, picking goods and processing returns.

Requirements

  • Proven experience of working in a warehouse environment, with a strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including working at night and weekends.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
