Healthcare Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Medical Administrator to join our team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking administrative duties at ward level, ensuring accurate and timely recording of patient activity data on Trust systems.
Responsibilities:- Record patient admission, transfer, and discharge activity data onto the Trust PAS system with accuracy and efficiency.
- Handle telephone calls from relatives, hospital staff, and the public with professionalism and courtesy.
- Maintain patients' medical records, obtaining them from other departments when necessary, and ensure they are readily available on the ward.
- Transfer pathology and other reports to patients' records and maintain accurate record-keeping in accordance with Trust policies.
- Assist in welcoming patients and visitors to the clinical area with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Maintain a safe working environment and report incidents, accidents, and complaints promptly.
- Participate in in-service training and mandatory annual training to enhance professional development.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver patient-centred care, guided by our core values: Patient-centred, Collaborative, Fair, Accountable, and Empowered.
- Work as part of a dynamic and supportive team within the Leeds Teaching Hospitals trust.

The salary for this position is £26,000 - £31,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, life assurance, and access to employee wellbeing programmes.
