About the Role:

We are looking for a talented individual with strong management and communication skills to manage work package plans, ensure task briefings are produced and delivered, and implement inspection and test regimes for 'right first time' delivery. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing a team of direct reports and promoting personal / professional development within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote Be Safe culture and lead by example
  • Implement safe systems of work and understand and promote safe working practices on and around the operational railway
  • Chair and deliver safety readiness review / risk assessment workshops
  • Manage subcontract packages safely, on time and to budget
  • Comply with subcontract management processes and coordinate trades for programme delivery
  • Implement inspection and test regime for 'right first time' delivery
  • Manage quality/handover documentation and work with design teams to ensure client and subcontract designs are buildable, coordinated and to specification

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • Member of a relevant Professional Institution (CEng MICE or MCIOB)
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale building/fit out subcontract packages in Rail, Aviation, Commercial, Education, Healthcare, Residential sectors
  • Strong management and communication skills and contractual understanding (NEC contracts)

Salary & Benefits:

The salary for this role is approximately £90,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a full benefits package, company car allowance, and a competitive pension scheme.
