About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at SuperCare Residential. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to vulnerable children and young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Work with Young People: Provide individualized support and guidance to young people, helping them to develop essential life skills and achieve their goals.
  • Collaboration and Partnership: Work closely with young people, their families, social workers, and other organizations to ensure a seamless and effective support network.
  • Care Planning and Coordination: Develop and implement personalized care plans, monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Establishment Management: Take responsibility for the upkeep and maintenance of our residential facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all residents.
  • Administrative and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Young Person Development: Support young people in taking ownership of their lives, making informed decisions, and developing essential life skills.
  • Safeguarding and Reporting: Respond promptly and effectively to safeguarding concerns, reporting incidents and concerns as necessary.
  • Daily Needs and Activities: Attend to the daily needs and activities of young people, including personal care, meal preparation, and household responsibilities.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Household Responsibilities: Share in the maintenance and upkeep of our residential facilities, ensuring a clean and safe environment for all residents.
  • Personal Development: Act as a role model and guide for young people, promoting positive values and behaviors.
  • Professional Development: Engage in regular professional supervision, staying up-to-date with best practices and industry developments.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Report any malpractice or concerns to management, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience of working with children and young people in an Ofsted-regulated environment.
  • Qualifications: Level 3 CYPW or above, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • DBS Check: Enhanced DBS check, with the ability to work with vulnerable children and young people.
  • Driving Ability: Ability to drive, with a valid driving license.
  • Agility and Flexibility: Smart and agile, with the ability to handle the daily needs and activities of young people.
