Are you looking to add further experience to your CV in a role that supports children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?

We are seeking an Unqualified Mental Health and Wellbeing Assistant to join our team at an Outstanding Primary School in the Borough of Lewisham. This role will involve working alongside teaching professionals and support staff to assist children with SEND and SEMH in 1:1 and small groups, as well as in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting students requiring extra support in the classroom
  • Reporting feedback to class teachers
  • Setting and working towards targets aimed at individual pupil development
  • Planning and running 1:1 and small group sessions
Requirements
  • A graduate with strong academics including a degree from a reputable university
  • Previous school-based experience
  • A sufficient understanding of SEN/SEMH needs - previous experience is preferable
  • A committed, driven and compassionate person with a drive to learn and assist
