Mental Health Assistant

Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of individuals with complex mental health needs?
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our dynamic team at the Trevor Gibbens Unit, a medium secure inpatient service for forensic services.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in mental health or learning disabilities settings and possess excellent communication skills to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
In this rewarding role, you will contribute to the rehabilitation and treatment of males and females with complex mental health needs, promoting their independence and well-being.
As a key member of the care team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care, supporting patients with daily living skills, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
Your expertise and enthusiasm will enable you to develop your skills and knowledge, contributing to the recovery and empowerment of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient-focused care, promoting independence and well-being
- Support patients with daily living skills and maintain a safe environment
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve patient goals
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and staff
Requirements:
- Experience working in mental health or learning disabilities settings
- Numeracy and literacy skills, computer literate
- Good understanding of mental health conditions, ability to communicate effectively
Benefits:

Salary: £24,071 - £25,674 per annum (dependent on location and experience)
