About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Supply Chain Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing a multi-million pound spend profile, covering a specific spend area. This could include direct spend on body, powertrain, chassis, electrical, or indirect spend on corporate services such as HR, travel, FM, catering, and IT.
You will be expected to define and implement category strategies for each of your key spend areas, delivering against the overall department savings plan and other key performance targets. You will also be responsible for running strategic sourcing projects, tender processes, negotiations, contract awards, and supplier relationship management.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a multi-million pound spend profile, covering a specific spend area
- Define and implement category strategies for each of your key spend areas
- Run strategic sourcing projects, tender processes, negotiations, contract awards, and supplier relationship management
- Build excellent relationships with key departmental stakeholders, guiding and advising on procurement best practice
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Supply Chain Specialist with a strong understanding of best practice procurement and a good track record of delivering savings. You will have proven experience of full lifecycle procurement, ideally with strategic responsibility for direct spend in a fast-moving manufacturing environment. Experience of working with both domestic and international suppliers would be beneficial.
You will be able to travel both in the UK and overseas when needed and be willing and able to be on site 3 days a week. If you are a motivated and experienced procurement professional looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you.
