Clinical Support Assistant

The Avenue Surgery is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the role of Clinical Support Assistant. This position plays a vital role in supporting the practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of quality health and care services.
Key Responsibilities:- Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and in accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols to support the clinical team.
- Undertake various tasks, including phlebotomy, near patient testing, and processing of patient samples for dispatch to hospital laboratories.
- Measuring and recording patient blood pressure, reporting any abnormal measurements to a registered clinician.
- Prepare and maintain environments and equipment for patient care interventions, ensuring clinical treatment rooms are clean and well stocked.
- Contribute to the effectiveness of the team by reflecting on activities and making suggestions for improvement.
- Qualified to NVQ level 2 in Health & Social Care.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience working within a nursing/clinical team.
