Lead CAD Designer Opportunity

First Achieve's Engineering Division is seeking a highly skilled Lead CAD Designer to join their team. As a key member of the Steels Department, you will be responsible for leading a team of CAD designers in designing bespoke structural and architectural metalwork structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of CAD designers in developing innovative designs for metalwork structures
  • Use advanced CAD software to create, modify, and finalize layout drawings
  • Translate structural engineers' specifications into 3D general arrangements (GA's) using Autodesk Advance Steel
  • Manage workflow, track performance, and ensure the delivery of CAD drawings for each project
  • Develop, improve, and maintain CAD processes within the department

Requirements:

  • Strong background in CAD design with expertise in Advanced Steel or Tekla
  • Advanced experience with CAD design software, with at least 5 years of use
  • Customer-focused mindset and ability to support the development of a team of CAD designers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with design architects, building contractors, and other stakeholders
