Job Description:

As a Housing Case Manager for Tenancies, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of tenancies and providing support to vulnerable customers.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate individual to join our team as a Housing Case Manager for Tenancies. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of housing management principles, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of 550-750 tenancies, ensuring that all customers receive the support they need to sustain their tenancies
  • Provide advice and guidance to customers on tenancy and estate management, including knowledge of housing law and current legislation
  • Conduct regular inspections of properties to ensure that health and safety issues are addressed and communal areas are kept in good order
  • Monitor and address any breaches or issues related to tenancy obligations
  • Work closely with other departments, such as Sheltered, Income, Lettings, Compliance, Repairs, Capital Programme, and Customer Services
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A-C (including English and Maths)
  • NVQ Level 4 or equivalent, or significant relevant experience within housing
  • Evidence of continuing development of professional skills, such as through training, qualification, or experience
  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar setting with a registered provider
  • Good understanding of social housing and housing management principles
  • Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive matters, and communicate effectively with a wide range of people
Working Environment:

You will be working in a fast-paced environment, requiring flexibility and adaptability. You will need to work remotely in your area, signposting customers to the correct organisations when help and expert advice are needed. The ideal candidate will be able to maintain accurate records and follow procedures around recording keeping.
