Venn Group is a leading recruitment agency, partnering with organisations that support the UK parliament. Our client seeks an experienced Pension Governance Specialist to join their team on a 6-month fixed term contract.

The successful postholder will provide governance support to Trustees, focusing on pension governance, administration, and communication. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the annual timetable for Trustee meetings, drafting agendas and minutes within set deadlines
  • Preparing briefing materials and conducting research to ensure up-to-date knowledge in relevant areas
  • Assisting in the annual audit process and preparation of pension scheme accounts, as well as drafting and maintaining business plan reports for Trustees
  • Overseeing pension fund expenditure, monitoring invoices, and supporting general stewardship duties
  • Managing communication with Trustees, Members, and former Members, providing a high-quality, responsive service
  • Engaging with Members of Parliament on pension matters
  • Supporting the team in contract management of Trustee-appointed suppliers
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to provide ad hoc project management assistance

The ideal candidate will have expertise in pension scheme administration and Secretariat Services, with experience supporting Trustee Boards. They should be able to draft high-quality briefings and papers, using diverse research to meet audience needs.

We offer a competitive salary of £34,980 per annum (pro rata), plus excellent benefits. The role is based in Central London and involves hybrid working (2 days in the office per week).
