Capture Minds CIC is a non-profit organization dedicated to unlocking the potential of young minds through comprehensive mentorship and educational support programs.

As a Volunteer Educational Mentor, you will play a crucial role in delivering the Futures Unlocked program under the guidance of the Lead Teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Lead Teacher in planning and delivering engaging educational sessions.
  • Provide support and mentorship to Sixth Form students in areas such as UCAS preparation, career exploration, and personal development.
  • Facilitate group discussions and activities to ensure active participation and engagement from all students.
  • Offer constructive feedback to the Lead Teacher to improve the effectiveness of sessions.
  • Participate in training and development sessions provided by Capture Minds CIC to enhance your mentoring abilities.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in undergraduate studies, preferably in education, but any undergraduate degree will be accepted.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A commitment to positively impacting young people's educational and personal development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Previous mentoring or tutoring experience is advantageous but not required.
