Hounslow Youth Counselling Service (HYCS) is a BACP-accredited service committed to providing high-quality counselling services to young people in the Hounslow Borough. We are currently seeking volunteer counsellors to join our team and offer midweek, daytime, and evening counselling sessions at our Isleworth centre.

To be eligible for this role, candidates must have completed a minimum of one year of humanistic counselling training (skills and theory) at certificate level. They must also be registered with the BACP or UKCP and committed to working towards BACP or UKCP accreditation. Additionally, they must be interested in working with young people from age 11 to 25 years old and have the time and energy for supervision, training, and periodic team and agency development meetings.

As a volunteer counsellor with HYCS, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience working with young people in a supportive environment. You will also receive regular monthly clinical supervision with one of our experienced external supervisors, ongoing in-house training, managerial support, team support, and the experience of working in a voluntary sector agency.

Our recruitment and selection process is designed to enable both the Service and the applicants to make an informed, realistic decision about whether our way of working matches. The process involves attendance at one of our information sessions, an application form, an interview, an assessment weekend, core training, and induction.
