Community Phlebotomy Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our community healthcare team in Trafford and Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out venipuncture and providing healthcare checks to patients in their own homes, care/nursing homes, and in clinics.
The ideal candidate will have a full UK driving license and access to a fully insured vehicle, as they will be required to work across the Trafford/Manchester footprint. Previous phlebotomy experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.
Main Responsibilities- Respond to phlebotomy requests for patients in the Primary Care Setting
- Work as a team under the direction and guidance of the Phlebotomy Supervisor and Phlebotomy Manager
- Provide healthcare checks, such as blood pressure monitoring, height and weight checks
- Work with minimal clinical supervision and without direct supervision following completion of an approved training course

Person Specification- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of the nursing and medical workforce within the community
- Knowledge of GP practices and community clinics
- Experience of working in the community
- Holds a full UK driving licence and access to a fully insured vehicle
