Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) professional to join our client's infrastructure division as a Senior Health and Safety Advisor. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safe delivery of major capital works projects within the water utilities sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular audits, inspections, and accident investigations to identify areas for improvement and development in health and safety performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with key changes to legislation and ensure the organization remains compliant.
  • Engage with managers, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure responsibilities are met and health and safety performance is optimized.
  • Support the delivery of objectives and targets by engaging with staff and contractors on a day-to-day basis.

Requirements:

  • A NEBOSH Certificate and ideally Tech IOSH status.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A strong technical knowledge across relevant health and safety legislation, compliance, and regulations.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within utilities (preferably water) or in civil engineering.
