We are seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Manager to join our client's dynamic home improvement company. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in establishing and managing a comprehensive health and safety program across multiple divisions within the organisation. This role requires a proactive individual who can independently develop and implement safety policies and procedures that comply with legal standards and promote a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive health and safety program that meets legal standards and promotes a safe working environment.
  2. Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures to mitigate potential hazards.
  3. Review and update existing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with changing legislation.
  4. Provide training and guidance to employees and executives on health and safety best practices.
  5. Inspect equipment and machinery to identify potential safety risks and implement corrective actions.
  6. Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  7. Develop and implement solutions to improve health and safety awareness and reduce risk.

Requirements:

  1. Relevant health and safety qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH or equivalent).
  2. Proven experience as a Health & Safety Manager.
  3. Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines.
  4. Ability to produce reports and develop relevant policies.
  5. Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment.
  6. Excellent organisational and motivational skills.
  7. Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability.
  8. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  9. BSc in Health & Safety Management or relevant field.
