We are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Manager to join our client's dynamic home improvement company. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in establishing and managing a comprehensive health and safety program across multiple divisions within the organisation. This role requires a proactive individual who can independently develop and implement safety policies and procedures that comply with legal standards and promote a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive health and safety program.
  2. Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures.
  3. Review and update existing policies and measures according to legislation.
  4. Organise OHS training for employees and executives.
  5. Inspect equipment and machinery to identify potential hazards.
  6. Investigate accidents or incidents to determine causes and handle worker's compensation claims.
  7. Recommend solutions to issues and improvement opportunities.
  8. Report on health and safety awareness, issues, and statistics.

Requirements:

  1. Relevant health and safety qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH or equivalent).
  2. Proven experience as a Health & Safety Manager.
  3. Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines.
  4. Ability to produce reports and develop relevant policies.
  5. Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment.
  6. Excellent organisational and motivational skills.
  7. Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability.
  8. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  9. BSc in Health & Safety Management or relevant field.
