Salary and BenefitsThe successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, reflecting their experience and qualifications. In addition, they will enjoy a 35-hour flexible working week, hybrid working arrangements after a short initial period, and a supportive team environment.
Job DescriptionAs a Bookkeeper at our client's firm, you will be responsible for providing end-to-end bookkeeping services to a diverse portfolio of clients. This will include preparing VAT returns and CIS returns, managing daily bookkeeping tasks, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal procedures and accounting principles.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and CIS returns within deadlines.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and support the Client Manager in preparing year-end accounts.
- Develop strong relationships with clients through direct contact and provide exceptional customer service.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Bookkeeper in a UK Accountancy Practice Firm environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software, particularly cloud-based packages like Xero or QuickBooks.
- Strong interpersonal, client, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
