Role Description:

Our Planning team is growing, and we are looking for a Town Planner to support our growing team with a range of planning duties with a focus on policy, strategy, infrastructure consents, and regeneration planning.

As part of our Environmental team you'll help improve quality of life. With your specialism in environmental management or technical expertise your work could involve protected species pollution surface water materials management air quality noise. And in some of the world's busiest and most beautiful locations.

We work to protect our natural environment and water resources while powering our world for future generations. Around the world we're seeing the effects of climate change rapid urbanization loss of biodiversity. The rate at which we're seeing large-scale unforeseen events such as floods and wildfires is becoming more frequent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help provide planning advice to clients collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams on masterplans planning applications and regeneration strategies policies or socio economic health equalities impact assessments.
  • Partnering with clients build a deep understanding of the complex challenges they face before applying your technical skills and expertise to deliver the best solutions.
  • You will also have the opportunity to develop your potential in supporting client relationships and work-winning.

Requirements:

  • Town planning experience gained through policy strategy planning applications consents and regeneration planning and delivery dealing with masterplans and frameworks.
  • Understanding of socio-economic health and equalities impact assessment for development and infrastructure projects.
  • Experience of working on planning applications particularly infrastructure consents.
  • Experience of providing planning support on masterplans and impact assessments and working in matrix dispersed teams.
  • A relevant degree and Master's in an accredited planning course and working towards chartership of the Royal Town Planning Institute MRTPI.
  • Understanding of methods for working with internal and external stakeholders and appreciation of engaging with hard-to-reach groups and virtual public engagement.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum

This role can be based from our Birmingham Leeds London or Manchester office and there will be the opportunity to work from home.
