We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Urban Planner to join our team at Waterman Aspen. As a key member of the planning team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice to clients across the UK.

Job Title: Principal Planning Officer

About the Role:

Your role will involve working closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, while staying up-to-date with changes in planning legislation and guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality planning advice to clients on a range of projects including development and infrastructure schemes.
  • Work collaboratively with clients to develop and implement effective planning strategies.
  • Stay current with changes in planning policies and legislation, ensuring your advice is always informed and relevant.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in local authorities within a planning policy team.
  • Minerals and Waste planning experience.
  • Understanding and knowledge of planning policies and the local plan process.
  • Up-to-date with planning legislation and guidance.
  • RTPI membership (desirable).
