Job Description

The NHS Trust is seeking a skilled Respiratory Physiotherapist to join their team in Surrey Downs Health & Care. As a Community Respiratory Physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in developing and providing high-quality physiotherapy treatment programs for respiratory patients in the community.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic assessment, treatment, evaluation, and advice to patients with lung conditions. You will lead assessments, group education sessions, and exercise classes, adjusting exercises according to patients' health status on that day.

Main Duties:
  • Provide effective, efficient, and high-quality physiotherapy treatment programs for respiratory patients in the community setting and within the pulmonary rehabilitation service.
  • Lead assessments, group education sessions, and exercise classes, adjusting exercises according to patients' health status on that day.
  • Undertake oxygen therapy assessment and prescription (Long-term oxygen therapy and ambulatory oxygen).
  • Act as a source of expertise on the management of respiratory patients, providing support and advice to other health professionals/agencies both within and external to the Trust.

Person Specification:
  • Car owner with a valid driving license.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year's NHS experience.
  • Experience of running rehabilitation classes.
  • Post-graduate experience in respiratory.
  • Broad range of experience at B5.
  • Appreciation of constraints to working in the community.
  • Participated in clinical audit. Experience in research / literature reviews.
  • At least 1 year in specialist respiratory care, including respiratory outpatients, ITU, and medical wards.
  • Experience of student supervision/clinical education.
  • Experience of teaching in a clinical setting.
  • Experience of operational team management.
Salary:

£39,205 to £47,084 per annum pro rata inc fringe HCAS.
