About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Physiotherapist to join our team in Surrey Downs Health & Care. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in developing and providing high-quality respiratory physiotherapy services to patients with lung conditions in the community. Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing effective, efficient, and high-quality physiotherapy treatment programs for respiratory patients in the community setting and within the pulmonary rehabilitation service. You will lead assessments, group education sessions, and exercise classes, tailoring exercises according to patients' health status on any given day. Additionally, you will undertake oxygen therapy assessments and prescriptions (Long-term Oxygen Therapy and Ambulatory Oxygen).
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide holistic assessment, treatment, evaluation, and advice to patients with lung conditions in the community
* Lead assessments, group education sessions, and exercise classes, adjusting exercises according to patients' health status on any given day
* Undertake oxygen therapy assessments and prescriptions (Long-term Oxygen Therapy and Ambulatory Oxygen)
* Act as a source of expertise on the management of respiratory patients, providing support and advice to other health professionals and agencies within and external to the Trust
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have a minimum of 2 years postgraduate experience, including at least 1 year's NHS experience. A broad range of experience at B5 level is essential, as well as a postgraduate experience in respiratory. The ideal candidate will also possess strong communication skills, enabling them to engage patients in their care and provide clear guidance to colleagues.
