About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our Wychavon Area Team in Worcestershire County Council.


This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of skill in assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.


As a Social Worker, you will work with adults throughout the life course who require care and support as a result of physical disability and mental/physical ill health.


You will be responsible for managing your own caseload with appropriate supervision and working within agreed budget limits to self-approve support plans.


We encourage autonomy and professional development alongside managerial and peer support to assist you to deliver a strength-based approach to practice.


The ideal candidate will have a positive approach and experience with complex cases and situations. They will also have extensive knowledge of the Care Act and the Mental Capacity Act.


The 3 Conversation Model of practice, which involves a strength-based approach to working with people, is adopted in Worcestershire.


As a Social Worker, you will support people to make positive changes in their lives, exploring universal services as well as purchasing support packages and placements to promote independence.


You will need to have the confidence to advocate for our clients and work in partnership with health colleagues, other statutory partners, and voluntary sector providers.


We offer a flexible approach adopting a hybrid working model which enables team members to work from home as well as our offices.


The salary for this position is £29,777 - £39,186, plus £3,000 Market Forces (Salary offered is subject to experience).
