Job Title: Senior Product Test Development Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Test Development Engineer to join our team at Raytheon UK. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and verifying test solutions for software and information & communication technology.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop test solution software and control and automation of test systems.
  • Take responsibility for the design and overall quality of test solution software and provide leadership and guidance for junior engineers.
  • Realize complex system requirements to provide robust and reliable test solutions.
  • Collaborate with other team members to agree system designs, interfaces, and protocols.
  • Produce and maintain high-quality technical and user documentation.
  • Perform configuration and change management of software and document artefacts.
  • Develop and maintain test software and procedures to prove the correct operation of test solutions.
  • Design Authority for test system software and uphold design standards and methodologies.
  • Monitor and report progress of test development activities.
  • Provide support to end users and answer technical queries.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Computer Science or related subject.
  • Expert in NI LabView with extensive breadth of industrial experience.
  • Strong understanding of common test architectures and communications architectures.
  • Experience in software development lifecycles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Ability to write comprehensive technical design and project documentation.
  • Relevant test development industry experiences using NI TestStand, NI CVI, C, C++, C#, and Microsoft OS.

Desirable:

  • Electronic Engineering qualifications and/or experience.
  • Experience in other software development languages and process improvement projects.
  • Knowledge of environmental testing and SC clearance.
