Job Summary

This is a challenging role for a Senior Product Test Development Engineer to lead the design, development, and validation of software and information & communication technology for test solutions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design and develop test solution software and control and automation of test systems.
  • Take responsibility for the design and overall quality of the test solution software and provide leadership and guidance for junior engineers.
  • Realise complex system requirements to provide robust and reliable test solutions.
  • Collaborate with other team members to agree system designs, interfaces, and protocols.
  • Produce and maintain high-quality technical and user documentation.
  • Perform configuration and change management of software and document artefacts.
  • Develop appropriate test software and procedures to prove the correct operation of test solutions.
  • Maintain the test software and manage change throughout its lifecycle.
  • Design Authority for test system software and uphold design standards and methodologies.
  • Monitor and report progress of test development activities.
  • Provide support to end users and answer queries & resolve technical issues.
  • Proactively support company compliance to Health and Safety legislation.
  • Ensure all business activity is conducted in line with company values, policies, and ethics codes of conduct.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Computer Science/related subject.
  • Expert in NI LabView with extensive breadth of industrial experience.
  • Strong understanding of common test architectures and communications architectures.
  • Experienced in the use of common test equipment and software development lifecycles.
  • Ability to write comprehensive technical design and project documentation.
  • Relevant test development industry experiences using NI TestStand, NI CVI, C, C++, C#, and Microsoft OS.

Desirable

Electronic Engineering qualifications and/or experience.Experience in other software development languages and process improvement projects.Knowledge of environmental testing and SC clearance.
