Financial Control Analyst Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Control Analyst to join our Finance team at esure Group. As a Financial Control Analyst, you will be responsible for managing our financial control framework, identifying and addressing potential control issues, and ensuring all financial activities align with professional standards and governance principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform the Finance Risk Champion role, facilitating consistent high standards of financial good practice and enabling the early identification and effective management of potential issues/risks.
- Support the finance control framework, testing business controls, and preparing remediation action plans for any failed controls.
- Liaise with the business to document processes and prepare process flow charts.
- Track and supervise the outcomes of internal and/or external audits and reviews.
- Prepare Finance control MI reports regularly or on an ad hoc basis to meet business needs.
- Engage with finance and business leaders to advocate for and communicate good financial control practices, ensuring appropriate actions are taken when vital.
- Support the Regulatory Reporting and Financial Reporting teams when requested.
Requirements:
- A recent qualification in a professional accounting qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA).
- An understanding of controls and their application in an insurance environment.
- High standards in both written and verbal communication skills.
- Intermediate digital literacy.
- Good problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SOX, internal, or external audit experience.
- Knowledge of general insurance accounting.
- Sophisticated digital literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
