About the Role

As a seasoned professional in data center maintenance, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. With a strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering, you will be responsible for maintaining availability for customers, overseeing the upkeep and operation of technical infrastructure, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engineering & Facility Operations: Troubleshoot events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs), take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment, supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance, and ensure that all systems are running efficiently.
  • Physical Requirements: Manual handling and lifting of equipment may be required, as well as working shifts (morning, late, and night) and participating in on-call rotations to address off-duty emergency calls.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • A City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is essential for this role.
  • Experience in a critical operations environment is also crucial.
  • Broad operational knowledge and experience with and familiarity with electrical and mechanical equipment are highly valued.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Extensive Data Center engineering experience or job-related experience is desirable.
  • A Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant discipline is also preferred.
  • Familiarity with Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) control systems and data collection/trending is an added advantage.
Estimated Salary Range:

£80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
