About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join our Insurance team at KPMG. As an Audit Manager, you will be responsible for managing and delivering audit engagements to a high standard of quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and delivering audit engagements to a high standard of quality
  • Managing and nurturing stakeholder relationships with audited entities
  • Facilitating the internal operations of running the business, including roles relating to finance, technology, quality, and people
  • Project managing the audit delivery, including timelines, team briefings, team supervision, delivery of audit work, and reviews by more senior team members
  • Monitoring budgets and supervising the KPMG audit process

Requirements

  • Significant and recent experience as an Audit Manager in an external audit capacity
  • Experience of carrying out audits within the Insurance Sector
  • Professional qualification from a recognised accountancy body
  • Working knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
  • Experience of systems/controls testing as well as substantive auditing, including consolidations, group audit, and review of statutory accounts and disclosures
  • Sound working knowledge of International Standards on Auditing

Desirable Skills

  • Experience of Audit within Life Insurance
  • Demonstratable project management experience
  • Audit experience within a 'Big 4' consultancy or mid-tier firm
  • Sound working knowledge of US GAAS / US GAAP / PCOAB standards
