About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and emotionally intelligent Reception Teacher to join our vibrant and fun primary school based in Tonbridge. As a Reception Teacher, you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Early Years Foundation Stage, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Teaching the EYFS curriculum to groups of children while also focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknesses
  2. Further developing maths ability and introducing fractions, statistics, and geometry
  3. Help children develop their writing ability by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories
  4. Keeping track of children's progress and occasionally reporting back to parents
