Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Automotive Fleet Supervisor to join our team at the Shared Services Partnership in Eastleigh, Hampshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support the Communities of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight while providing critical and technical support to the frontline services of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue Service (HIWFRS).

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a team of technicians on a day-to-day basis, planning workloads, overseeing and providing technical support to all aspects of an automotive and equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Routine vehicle servicing and maintenance
  • Vehicle repairs and maintenance, including upgrades
  • Equipment repairs and maintenance, such as ladders and hydraulic rescue equipment
  • Vehicle refurbishments
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognised apprenticeship or equivalent experience in a mechanical discipline, with accompanying NVQ or City and Guilds qualifications
  • IRTEC qualification
  • Experience of auto electrical systems
  • At least two years post-qualification experience in a relevant role
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A positive and customer-focused approach to completing tasks and activities
