Lead a Team of Early Years Professionals

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Third in Charge to join our team at Bright Horizons First Class Day Nursery and Preschool in Aberdeen.

About the Role

As a Third in Charge, you will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and inspiring a team of Early Years professionals to deliver exceptional care and education to children in our care.

You will act as Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the day-to-day running of the nursery and management of safeguarding and child protection policies.

Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to meet the needs of each child.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy, and safe working environment.

Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers to support retention and occupancy growth.

Ensure commercial success of the nursery by maintaining expenditure inline with FTEs and budget KPIs.

What We're Looking For
  • Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
  • Previous experience working within an Early Years setting, ideally as a Third in Charge, Room Leader, or Early Years Educator
  • Confident decision maker with experience providing support and leadership to others
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and legislative requirements
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with colleagues and parents
