Grooming at competition level requires high standards and excellent client service skills. As an Eventing Yard Assistant, you will have the opportunity to groom at domestic and international events, working with a small team of quality event horses.

The ideal candidate will be able to participate as a team member, manage a number of horses, and carry out daily routine yard tasks and grooming for competition and client horses. They will also be able to demonstrate their ability to handle youngstock, clip, trim, and exercise horses.

This is a live-in position with a well-appointed onsite 3-bedroom flat. The employer is open to what skills the applicant can offer, and training using external agents may be available to increase their grooming or management skill sets.

The package will include a salary negotiable on skill set, and the opportunity to compete or school your own horse with regular development-focused tuition available. A driving license is preferable, and due to location, it is essential.
