Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Red Recruitment Group. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing plant.
Key Responsibilities- Maintenance and Repair: Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment, infrastructure, and facilities to minimize downtime and ensure a safe working environment.
- Health and Safety: Implement and enforce health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a high level of safe practices in the engineering department.
- PPM Schedule Planning: Develop and implement a Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedule to ensure timely and efficient maintenance of equipment and facilities.
- Team Leadership: Provide technical support and training to staff, and lead a team of engineers to ensure the successful execution of maintenance and repair activities.
- Contractor Management: Liaise with external contractors to ensure satisfactory performance and delivery of maintenance and repair services.
- Project Support: Provide technical expertise and support to projects requiring engineering inputs.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to reduce reactive maintenance and improve overall efficiency.
- Qualifications: Apprenticeship or industry-recognized qualifications in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Experience: Proven experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance in a manufacturing or engineering environment, with experience working with robots and conveyors.
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of plant operation principles, methods, and processes.
- Leadership: Demonstrated team leadership and supervisory experience.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with sound problem-solving ability.
