Senior Perinatal Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Psychologist to join our Maternal Mental Health Service at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering specialist Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based psychological interventions in the context of trauma and loss.
Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will have experience of working with women and birthing people who experience moderate-severe mental health problems in the perinatal period, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) following childbirth, tokophobia, and mental health problems that develop following perinatal loss. They will also have knowledge of legislation in relation to the client group and mental health issues, child and adult protection, and equalities.
The role will involve providing culturally appropriate psychological interventions, assessing and monitoring risk, and developing risk management plans. The successful candidate will also contribute to the team's delivery of accessible and acceptable services to diverse local communities.
Additionally, the Senior Psychologist will be responsible for supervising junior psychologists, providing training and supervision to other professionals, and participating in service development projects.
The estimated salary for this position is £62,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including a pension scheme, annual leave, and access to continuing professional development opportunities.
Requirements- Evidence of having worked as a clinical specialist under supervision in secondary care mental health services.
- Experience of specialist psychological assessment and the delivery of Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based interventions with service users who have a range of psychological needs of a complex nature in the perinatal period.
- Post-qualification experience that supports working with, and addressing issues of, diversity within local communities.
