Health Physics Specialist

In this permanent position as a Radiation Protection Monitor, you will be responsible for carrying out radiological protection monitoring and ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements.
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Health Physics Monitor to join our team in Cumbria or UK-wide locations. As a Radiation Protection Monitor, you will provide protection advice to facility operators, measure radiation doses and contamination levels, and identify trends to detect areas for improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out radiological protection monitoring and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Measure radiation doses and contamination levels, and provide data presentations.
- Provide protection advice to facility operators and report any areas of concern.
- Identify trends to detect areas for improvement and contribute to the development of safety procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Health Physics Monitor.
- Able to gain SC clearance and ideally hold it already.
- City and Guilds level 1 Radiation Protection or NVQ level 2 in Radiation Protection.
- IOSH working safely certificate (ideal).
Benefits: Competitive salary range £40,000-£45,000 depending on experience, plus benefits.
