About the Role

As a Hearing Health Specialist, you will undertake hearing assessments of adults of all ages. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine audiometric testing, as well as hearing aid assessment, fitting, and ongoing support for adults and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake hearing assessments and audiometric testing for adults of all ages.
  • Conduct hearing aid assessments, fittings, and validations using analogue and DSP instruments according to department protocols.
  • Take aural impressions on patients according to British Society of Audiology recommended procedures.
  • Utilize Real Ear Measurement systems, RECD, and free field testing to validate hearing aids and make informed decisions.
Requirements
  • Audiology or - BAAT (parts I&II) plus Btec Medical Physics & Physiological Measurement or - Dip HE in Audiology or - Equivalent qualification.
  • Eligible for registration with RCCP.
  • One year undergraduate placement in an Audiology Department or one year experience working in NHS audiology.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex clinical information to patients and their families.
  • Theoretical knowledge of digital hearing aid fitting.
Salary Information

The estimated salary range for this role is £30,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
