Company Overview

Fife Council's Health and Social Care Partnership manages various services, including the Mental Health Officer Service. As a key player in this partnership, the MHO Service works closely with area teams to provide support and intervention measures for vulnerable individuals.

Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is £35,000 - £45,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with a team of experienced professionals to provide statutory measures and interventions for individuals at risk of harm.
  • Balance the need for compulsory treatment or intervention while promoting the rights and needs of people with mental illness or capacity issues.
  • Contribute to the development of specific learning and development needs within the team.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve outcomes for individuals affected by mental illness.
  • Provide guidance and support to area teams through various forums.
  • Contribute to the learning and development of the team and service.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Accredited MHO qualification with Post Graduate award.
  • Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and maintenance of CPD requirements.
  • Ability to carry a caseload related to Adults with Incapacity Act 2000, Mental Health (Care and Treatment) Scotland Act 2003, and Criminal Procedures Scotland Act.
  • Extensive experience in Social Work Assessment and Care Management.
