About the Role:This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Psychology graduate to gain valuable experience working with children with special educational needs. As a 1:1 Support Assistant, you will work closely with the teaching staff to provide individualized support to students, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
Responsibilities:- Provide 1:1 support to students with special educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their academic potential.
- Work closely with teaching staff to develop and implement individualized support plans for students.
- Assist students with daily living skills, such as personal care and mobility.
- Support students with emotional and behavioral difficulties, using strategies to de-escalate conflicts and promote positive behavior.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Previous experience of working with children or young people, ideally within a school or educational setting.
- A recent Psychology graduate with a passion for working with children with special educational needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
