Prospero Teaching is excited to partner with a dynamic SEN school in London to find an experienced SEN Teacher. As a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher, you will be responsible for supporting pupils with a range of special needs, including autism and communication difficulties.

About the Position:

This role involves leading the educational provision for referred pupils, adapting teaching methods, and maintaining accurate records of pupil progress. You will also offer emotional support to pupils and their families, fostering a safe and supportive learning environment.

Main Tasks:

  • Provide personalized educational support to pupils, using adaptable teaching strategies.
  • Oversee the educational provision for referred pupils, ensuring continuity of care and tracking progress effectively.
  • Identify and address learning gaps caused by absences, providing targeted interventions to facilitate academic progress.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and external agencies to ensure holistic support and advocate for pupil well-being.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teaching (ECT) applicants are welcome.
  • Experience working with SEN pupils.
  • A strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices and ability to differentiate instruction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Access to strong References and Enhanced DBS.

Estimated Annual Salary: £50,000 - £70,000
