About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our mainstream school's SEN unit. As a key member of our team, you will provide essential support to pupils with Special Educational Needs, fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that promotes their holistic development.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support to pupils with SEN, facilitating their learning and development in both individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with the class teacher to plan and deliver differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of pupils within the SEN unit.
- Work closely with the SENCO, teachers, and other professionals to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support strategies effectively.
- Previous experience working with children with SEN, preferably within a school setting.
- A compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with pupils.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
