Job Title: SEN Classroom Assistant
Location: Surrey
School Type: Primary Special Educational Needs (SEND) School

A dedicated SEN Classroom Assistant is sought for a primary SEND school in Surrey. This role offers the chance to make a positive impact on the lives of children with Special Educational Needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support Children with SEN: Provide tailored support to children with SEN, both one-on-one and in small groups, to meet their unique learning needs.
  2. Assist Teachers: Assist teachers in planning and delivering Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that enable student progress and confidence.
  3. Create Inclusive Environment: Help create a classroom environment where all students feel included, supported, and encouraged.
  4. Engage Students: Support engaging activities to ensure all students are actively involved in their learning journey.
  5. Build Relationships: Build strong relationships with parents and carers by sharing updates and celebrating milestones.

Requirements:

  • Experience with SEN Students: Experience working with SEN students is welcomed, but a positive attitude, empathy, and a willingness to learn are essential.
  • Driver's License: A driver's license and access to a car are advantageous for this Surrey-based role.
