Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled patient navigator to join our team in the Colposcopy department at Barnet & Chase Farm Hospital. As a patient navigator, you will play a vital role in ensuring that patients receive the best possible care and support throughout their journey.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Colposcopy department, including answering telephone calls, responding to enquiries, and managing correspondence.
  • Ensure that patient records are accurate and up-to-date, and that all relevant information is shared with healthcare staff.
  • Support the team in coordinating patient appointments, clinic changes, and cancellations.
  • Assist patients in navigating the healthcare system, providing them with information and support to help them access the care they need.
  • Work closely with healthcare staff to ensure that patients receive the best possible care and support.
  • Provide administrative support for the department, including filing, photocopying, and distributing mail.

Requirements
  • Previous experience of working in a healthcare environment, preferably in a patient-facing role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
