Join Our Team as a Culinary Assistant

Hertfordshire Catering Limited is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Culinary Assistant to work in our primary schools. This role is ideal for those who enjoy working with food and want to develop their culinary skills in a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals for students and staff
  • Clean and maintain the kitchen and dining area
  • Assist with stocktaking and ordering
  • Contribute to maintaining budgets and financial records
  • Adhere to our Food Safety Management System and Health & Safety protocols
  • Provide excellent customer service to students and staff
  • Deputise for the Cook Manager in their absence

Requirements:

  • Passion for food and cooking
  • Previous catering experience is desirable
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Food hygiene level 2 (training will be provided)
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices
  • Excellent timekeeping and reliability
  • Fluent communication skills in English
