Join Our Team as a Culinary Assistant
Hertfordshire Catering Limited is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Culinary Assistant to work in our primary schools. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals, ensuring high-quality food service to students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals, including special dietary requirements
- Clean and maintain the kitchen and dining area
- Stocktake and order food supplies
- Manage budgets and maintain financial records
- Adhere to our Food Safety Management System and Health & Safety protocols
- Provide excellent customer service to students and staff
- Deputise for the Cook Manager in their absence
Requirements:
- Passionate about food and cooking
- Previous catering experience is desirable
- Able to manage and motivate a team
- Food hygiene level 2 (training will be provided)
- Knowledge of health and safety practices
- Excellent timekeeping and reliability
- Fluent communication skills in English
