Home-Based Support Worker for Vulnerable Children

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team in Somerset. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and nurturing environment for young people aged 8-18 with varying levels of social/emotional/mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create a stable and supportive atmosphere, ensuring the well-being and happiness of our residents
- Assist with daily activities, such as preparing meals, helping with homework, and engaging in recreational activities
- Maintain a clean and comfortable living space, promoting a sense of home
- Build strong relationships with residents, encouraging their confidence and self-esteem
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement personalized care plans
Salary and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary of £24,793 - £26,083 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to your base salary, you will also receive:
- A £30 sleep-in allowance for each shift worked
- An annual leave entitlement of 224 hours, equivalent to 5.6 weeks

Requirements:
- A passion for working with vulnerable children and young people
- An ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide references
