Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Supervisor to oversee a highways maintenance project in Cambridge. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the resurfacing, drainage, and general highways maintenance tasks, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the construction site, including resurfacing, drainage, and other highways maintenance tasks.
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the project manager and client.
• Manage and motivate the site team, including subcontractors and laborers.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications.
• Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site promptly and effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, material usage, and labor hours.
• Liaise with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Coordinate night and day shifts to ensure continuous progress and minimal disruption to traffic and local communities.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor in highways maintenance, with a strong background in resurfacing and drainage.
• Excellent knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in using project management software and tools.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various site locations as required.
• Relevant certifications in construction management or a related field are preferred.

Working Conditions:
The role involves a mixture of night and day shifts to ensure project deadlines are met. Work will be conducted outdoors in various weather conditions. The position may require occasional weekend work and extended hours during peak project phases.
