About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Officers Mess, Baker Barracks, Thorney Island. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cook and prepare food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service
  • Function work, including silver service level food preparation
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth service and high-quality food
  • Follow recipe cards and maintain accurate records
  • Assist with deliveries, stock checks, and kitchen maintenance
  • Monitor and record temperatures of fridges, freezers, and hot cabinets
  • Participate in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans
Requirements
  • Relevant culinary qualification (706/1 or 706/2 or equivalent)
  • Excellent team player and communicator
  • Confident and skilled chef
  • Security checks and DBS required
  • Flexibility and ability to innovate
