Executive Chef

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Officers Mess, Baker Barracks, Thorney Island, Emsworth.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position, working 35 hours a week, with shifts ranging between 6.30am and 9pm. As a Chef, you will be responsible for cooking and preparing food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service, as well as assisting with deliveries and stock checks.
Key Responsibilities- Cook and prepare food to a high standard, following recipe cards and maintaining kitchen records.
- Work well as part of a team, supporting colleagues and communicating effectively.
- Assist with daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Monitor and record temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets, and serveries.
- Act as a trainer/coach for new team members, teaching procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks.
- Relevant culinary qualification (706/1 or 706/2 or equivalent).
- Excellent team player and communicator.
- Confident and flexible, with the ability to innovate.
- Security checks and DBS required for this role.
